Though we can’t go far this year for Spring Break, being home-bound doesn’t mean being bored. Here are the 8 best staycation ideas we’ve heard:

1. Have A Spa Day

Slice some cucs for your eyes, whip up a DIY vegan face mask, pull out the mani-pedi supplies, and get to relaxin’!

For that extra touch: drop some berries or sliced cucumber into your ice water and queue up a relaxing playlist. Hot towel face-wrap is optional; slippers and bathrobes: mandatory!

2. Host Your Own Film Festival

Pick a favorite movie series, such as Star Wars or Lord of the Rings, or pick a theme (Disney, rom-com, etc.) and host your own film festival from your family room.

Don’t forget the popcorn, favorite drinks and cozy blankets!

3. Set Up an Art Camp

Gather your art supplies and check out our own Art With The Rupps or STEAM Saturday virtual programs– or another online class, such as how to draw cartoon faces or comic strips.

Being home provides a great opportunity to stretch your skills and crank up your creativity!

4. Go Backyard (or Living Room) Camping

You know that tent in the closet? Pull it out and pop it up! You can spend the night in your backyard or your living room … or just host story time in the tent with flashlights and then sleep in your own comfy beds — an advantage of camping at home!

Don’t forget to microwave some s’mores or roast ’em up in the backyard fire pit!

5. Take a Virtual Career Day

Explore fun careers in 360-degree VR! Parents, if you’d like to enhance the experience, purchase these inexpensive virtual reality headsets, but they’re not necessary.

The Virtual Video Tours can be found here, and the scavenger hunt is here. Very cool way to dream big even from home!

6. Explore The Woods

Look for tracks, forge a creek, press leaves, or just enjoy God’s creation. It doesn’t matter if you head to a state park that’s still open or the creek in your own neighborhood. Just get outside and soak up some vitamin D!

We are always struck by the authenticity of the faculty, staff, families and students at NCCS. It’s more than a school. It’s a family.

Our children aren’t just taught — they’re loved. NCCS teachers pour themselves into the students, molding who they become.

At NCCS, we focus on glorifying God on and off the field. Becoming an athlete at North Cobb Christian changed who I am as an athlete and as a believer.

The Arts at NCCS lets me tap into gifts I never knew I had. I’ve found joy, purpose, and lifelong friends who share my passions.

I found the best spiritual leaders at NCCS. The teachers and staff ensure that our spiritual education is just as important as our academic success.

I am forever grateful to NCCS for making me the person I am today. I want to give back to provide the same opportunities for future generations.

It’s hard to explain, but the minute we walked in the doors, it felt like home. Our whole family has thrived within this precious school’s tight-knit community.
